Jimmy Fortune toured and performed with the legendary Statler Brothers for 21 years, quickly becoming an integral part of the group. During his time with the Statlers, he wrote their second No. 1 hit, “Elizabeth,” followed by two more chart-toppers, “My Only Love” and “Too Much on My Heart.” He also co-wrote fan favorites such as “Forever” and “More Than a Name on the Wall.” Fortune performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, appeared twice at the White House, and contributed to numerous gold and platinum albums.

After the Statler Brothers retired in 2002, Jimmy launched a successful solo career, beginning with When One Door Closes (2003) and followed by releases including I Believe (2005) and Windows (2009). He later collaborated with the Gaither Music Group on Hits and Hymns (2015) and God and Country (2019), the latter earning a Dove Award. In 2020, Jimmy formed the quartet Fortune/Walker/Rogers/Isaacs, releasing Brotherly Love and its follow-up, Listen to the Music, in 2023. Now based in Tennessee, Jimmy Fortune continues to write, tour, and record, sharing his music with audiences around the world.
