The Coopertown Barrel Festival serves to celebrate the heritage of the coopers, or barrel makers, that once resided in the area in the late 1700s, therefore lending its name Coopertown.
From live demonstrations by authentic coopers and blacksmiths to local historical commission exhibits, from vendors of craft, food, and an old fashioned cakewalk to live music, a free kids zone, classic car show and our Barrel Fest 5 Miler, the community showcases its heart as well as its wares well, annually, on the first Saturday in June.
