Tucked away in Orlinda, Bernard’s Farm is the absolute go-to for pork and farm-fresh vegetables. The family has worked hard to build an incredible farm store for their community, with so many nostalgic touches.
If you’re in the know, you’ll get there early to get one of their famous breakfast biscuits before the day starts. Be sure to follow their Facebook page to see the incredible offerings they have that change weekly.
Hancock Family Farm
Hancock’s is a Springfield favorite with tons of great produce, meats, dairy and more. Their soft serve is a big draw, too! Basically, just show up hungry, and Jodi and her crew will take care of you.
Most recently, they’ve added trees, shrubs, and more to purchase, making their year-round farm store even more appealing to those visiting – whether they’re looking for food, landscape help or more.
Head’s Farm (Pictured above)
A family-owned favorite, Head’s Farm is known for its vibrant seasonal produce, gorgeous flowers, great wrought iron, and our personal favorite: their strawberry fields paired with their amazing homemade ice cream. On top of that, their store is filled with local goodies from a variety of makers.
Whether you’re picking strawberries in the spring or enoying their pumpkin selections in the fall, it’s a must-visit spot for fresh goods and family fun. Owner, Miranda Head, especially loves the family component, spending so much time ensuring that young children love visiting the farm with tons of activities and fun each weekend available for them – often for free!
Shade Tree Farm & Orchard
Apples are the name of the game at Shade Tree, but don’t sleep on this charming farm store for other seasons! Opening early July each year with blueberry season, Shade Tree Orchard has many events, including pancake breakfasts, festivals, murder mystery dinners and more that keep the community coming back for more.
