I was pleasantly surprised about this! I think I had read a negative review some months ago and kind of dismissed the gym here, but I had a couple of hours this morning and went for a workout. I had expected to have to decide which body groups I’d work out once I arrived based upon the presumably limited options but when I arrived I realized I could pick whatever I wanted. There is a dumbbell rack with options from 5-75 lbs, a curling bar rack with options from 20-110 lbs, plenty of machines to isolate muscles, a smith machine, a squat/multipurpose rack, plenty of adjustable benches, as well as a variety of cardio equipment. Everything is very clean and new and the equipment works as it should. Critiques I have: - having the heaviest dumbbell at 75 lbs is a bit of a bummer since in a few workouts I like (dumbbell bench, shrugs) I use heavier ones. - only one squat/multipurpose rack and no specific bench/incline bench racks would presumably lead to bottlenecks and really limit options for chest workouts in busier times, especially combined with the limited dumbbell ranges - there is one pulley machine for triceps and whatnot but there’s not one that has a built in lat pulldown or seated cable row. I guess you could move an adjustable bench over but there will be a big limit on weight since only one side could easily be used at a time for this. I also share the ambivalence about using so much space for a video game room while we have a borderline public health crisis because of massive overindulgence of screen time. This is more of a general governmental failure thing with me, kids already spend 8 hours of day staring at screens and the schools and rec centers seem dead set on taking up the rest of their days with screens. I would have loved that space to be expanded gym space or something else that would be a net positive for the community but I’m still happy with what they’ve built.
Jun 12, 2026 · Google ReviewThis fitness center is clean and not too busy. There are a variety of machines and weights to choose from. I really like how there are wipes to keep the machines clean. If any improvements could be made, I would suggest adding another Olympic 45lb bar in the fitness room. There is just one right now. If it's busy there may be a few people waiting for it.
