The Doctor Martin Walton House (also known to some as the Cook-Tate Home or "The Friend by the Side of the Road") was built in 1809 and added to the National Register in 1996. Tours of the home are free and you'll want to stop in and visit their on-site gift shop and apothecary, as well! Follow them on FaceBook for seasonal hours, other updates and upcoming events.


Hours: Friday through Sunday 11a-8p


Guests aged 55+ can enjoy "Old Timer's Days" on Tuesdays from 9:30a-5p (with exception of being closed on Tuesdays during October); no guests under the age of 55 are allowed to accompany on these days; no guided tours available during Tuesday hours, but historian is available to answer questions
